Funeral Plans offered by Canada Purple Shield and underwritten by TruStage Life of Canada can be purchased by anyone, regardless of your age or health. Canada Purple Shield is sure to have a plan that you qualify for. Each plan comes with a Wishes & Memories Planning Guide, which is a great tool to help guide your family through a difficult time.
A funeral plan can be paid for by making payments over 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 20 years or you can purchase a single payment plan. Payment Plans are insured as soon as your first payment is made. Your cemetery marker or monument can also be prepaid as part of your plan in partnership with various monument companies.
Canada Purple Shield offers travel plans to ensure you are fully protected should a death occur during any of your trips. So whether you are visiting family, heading to your favourite vacation spot or just going out of town, Journey Home, administered by trusted partners of TruStage Life of Canada, will cover some expenses of the deceased, including repatriation costs. Next of kin traveling expenses are also covered if the individual is travelling alone. The Plan is only valid if the covered individual dies more than 100km away from their legal residence in Canada.
This plan is available at a one-time cost that can be paid all at once or in installments. As soon as you enroll, you are covered immediately. The travel assistance you receive through Journey Home will give you the freedom and peace of mind to travel safely anywhere in the world.
